Infant Classroom

Our infant rooms are filled with toys and things to stimulate baby's minds. Our infant rooms have an on-demand schedule. We work around each baby's individual schedule. Children are bottle fed until parent's are ready to begin table food. The infant teachers work closely with parents to help the children develop and grow. Our teachers work with the infants to begin crawling and walking when it is developmentally appropriate. Children are also sent home with a daily sheet stating times diapers were changed and the type of diaper, the times when they ate, and what the child needs the following day (e.g. diapers, wipes, food, extra clothing, etc.). The classrooms are set up into centers based on best practice and following the ITERS (Infant/Toddler Environmental Rating Scale) guidelines. Our infant teachers are all up to date on Safe Sleep training (SIDS awareness training) and all are CPR/First Aid Certified.

Toddler Class

Our toddler room is all about hitting those developmental milestones, such as walking with little falling, eating table food, learning to eat on their own, and beginning to talk. Our teachers have many activities they use to stimulate brain growth and to help the children reach those milestones such as finger plays, songs, books, crafts, etc. Children learn best through play, so they are given ample opportunity to play throughout the day. Our toddlers have a more structured schedule than infants, but the teachers are extremely flexible, and let the children decide what to do most of the day. The toddler room has an approximate 2 hour nap time each afternoon after lunch. A daily sheet is also sent home with each child in the toddler room. The daily sheet will include information such as diaper changes, eating times, sleep times, and also any supplies the child needs the following day (e.g. diapers, wipes, extra clothing, etc.) The classrooms are set up into centers based on best practice and following the ITERS (Infant/Toddler Environmental Rating Scale) guidelines. All staff are CPR/First Aid Certified.

2, 3, and 4 Year-Old Classrooms (Pre-School)

Our Pre-School classrooms are a little more structured than the toddlers and infant rooms. Each room has a daily schedule and their weekly lesson plans posted for parents to see. The teachers have many activities they use to stimulate the children and help them reach their developmental milestones. The Pre-School rooms incorporate a lot more hands-on projects. These rooms also work on coordination, refined fine- and gross-motor skills, among many other things. The classrooms are set up into centers based on best practice and following the ECERS (Early Childhood Environmental Rating Scale) guidelines. All staff are CPR/First Aid Certified.

The three and four year old rooms work on beginning reading skills, as well. The teachers have many activities they use to work on those emergent skills.
